Subsystem Breakdown

SHOOTER

800g wheel, fixed 45°. 2 GoBilda 6000 RPM motors. Triple wheel system.

Switched from adjustable to fixed angle for simplicity and reliability.

INTAKE

Rubber band based self-centering intake using tension.

Pros: Centering & performance. Cons: Rubber wear.

CHASSIS

7075 Aluminium, low CG, fully custom.

Compact, rigid, serviceable.

DRIVETRAIN

Quad motor mecanum drivetrain.

Pros: Mobility. Cons: Cost, ~70% strafe efficiency.

DESIGN PROCESS

Iteration & Testing

Dogfight drills. Scramble → Hard Deck → Dogfight. Version 1 → Version 2 → Vertical shooter upgrade.
Switched to fixed shooter. Tripled shooter weight. Improved intake length. Result: 309% improvement in cycle time.
